Bob Heffron of Andover and formerly of Malden, died December 21 at University of Miami (FL) Hospital. He was 82. Always ready with a joke and a kind word, Bob was a popular apparel sales rep throughout New England and upstate New York. He was a graduate of Malden High School, where he was an All-Scholastic hockey player; a veteran of the United States Coast Guard; an avid golfer and 'Friend of Bill W' for 55 years. Bob was pre-deceased by his wife of 57 years, Janet; parents William and Mary (Twomey) Heffron; sister Margaret Howard and brother Rev. William Heffron, SSCC; and survived by his children Bill and Nancy Heffron of Lynnfield; Brian and Renee Heffron of Lynnfield; Bobby Heffron of Stoneham; Andrea (Heffron) Surette of Andover and Russell Surette of Malden; grandchildren Amanda (Surette) Jaklitsch, Michael Heffron, Nicole Surette, Lindsey Surette, Allison Heffron, Lauren Surette, Sean Heffron, Ryan Heffron, Brendan Heffron and Nolan Heffron; and great-grandchildren Niko Maniatis, Faith Heffron, and Logan Heffron; sister-in-law Marjorie (Knox) Ferraro; many beloved cousins, nephews and nieces.
