Dixie Darden Arnett, 73, of Tifton passed away Thursday, December 24, 2020, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 28, 2020, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Keith Norris officiating. Mrs. Arnett will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 28, 2020, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service. COVID-19 protocol will be followed at both the visitation and the funeral service.
Lance Courtoy, Ricky Arnett, Mark Johnson, Sean McMillan and Kyle Scarborough will serve as pallbearers.
Born April 1, 1947 in Tifton, Mrs. Arnett was the daughter of the late John William Darden and Mona Griffin Darden. She was a homemaker, but before retiring, she was employed for thirty years with Dixie Oil Company in Tifton and she was a real estate agent with Century 21 in Tifton. She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Tifton and Hall’s Community Church in Brookfield.
Mrs. Arnett is survived by her husband, Jessie Harold Arnett of Tifton; one daughter, April Scarborough of Tifton; one brother and sister-in-law, John A. and Martha Darden of Lenox; one sister, Brenda Wetherington of Tifton; and one grandchild, Jayden Courtoy.
