Obituary

John “Mac” McAndrews, 64, of Hampstead, NH died peacefully on Thursday, December 24, 2020. He was born on May 24, 1956 in Lowell, MA, the son of the late Bartholomew J. McAndrews & Norma (Conlon) McAndrews. Beloved husband to Susan (Wright) McAndrews of 20 loving years. He attended the Sacred Heart School, and was a part of the Irish Catholic community, where he was also an altar boy. He made a lifelong career as a proud employee for 43 years at Prince Packaging/Americraft.

Mac was the epitome of a loving and caring family man. He lit up the room with his big smile and infectious laughter. He was an avid golfer, and always jumped at the opportunity to tell the story of his one and only hole in one! He was a huge New England sports fan, and an exceptional athlete himself. He even coached little league/babe ruth baseball teams. His favorite season was fall where he loved apple and pumpkin picking, football on Sundays, and his designated turkey legs and cheesy potatoes at Thanksgiving dinner. He also really enjoyed vacationing with his wife and “their gang.”

He is survived by his five children, Walter & Gloria (McAndrews) Torres, Mat & Katie (McAndrews) Bruhmuller, Brian & Kristen (Emery) Tellier, Andrew Noyes & Kerri Emery, Jonathan & Amanda Emery. His seven siblings, Francis (late) & Mary (McAndrews) Donohoe, John & Sharon (McAndrews) Goodearlle, Bartholomew & Cheryl McAndrews, Norma McAndrews, William & Cynthia McAndrews, Patrick & Elizabeth McAndrews, and Jeffrey & Geradine (McAndrews) Wiklund. 12 grandchildren, 24 nieces and nephews, and 16 great nieces and nephews.
