Maria (Indiciani) Verrocchi passed away peacefully in the company of her loving family on Monday December 21st. She was 91. Born and raised in Italy she was the daughter of the late
Andrea and Filadora Rosa (DiMascio) Indiciani.
Maria was born and raised in Pettorano sul Gizio, L'Aquila, in the Abruzzo region of Italy. She came to the United States and lived with her family in Boston's North End in 1968 and eventually settled in Medford in 1982. She worked as a seamstress with Forecaster of Boston for many years. Maria was devoted to her family. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking and baking and looked forward to spending time with her family and friends.
The beloved wife of the late Raffaele Verrocchi, who passed away in 2015, she was a devoted mother to Mario Verrocchi and his wife Rita of Stoneham, Andrew Verrocchi and his wife Rhonda of Milford, Gabriella Palladino and her husband Gerard of Stoneham, Angela Pinette and her husband Paul of Reading, and Walter Verrocchi and his wife Rhonda of Medford. Maria is lovingly survived by 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Maria is also survived by her sisters: Gilda Trombetta, Irma DiMascio and her brother Nino and his wife Adele Indiciani.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to visit at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main Street, Medford on Monday from 6 thru 8 PM and again on Tuesday, December 29th at 9 AM followed by a funeral Mass celebrated in St. Leonard Church, Hanover St., Boston’s North End at 10 AM. Entombment will be private.
