Catherine L. (Turner) Webster, a 33 year resident of Charlestown and formerly of the Beachmont section of Revere, entered into eternal life on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at her daughters home in Reading. She was 98 years of age.
Catherine was born in Revere on October 5, 1922, a daughter of the late Archibald Turner and Mary A. (Daugherty) Turner. She grew up in the Beachmont section of Revere where she attended Revere Public Schools and graduated from Revere High School. Catherine worked for over 40 years at the Chelsea Soldiers Home in Chelsea as a Domestic Aide dedicating herself to all the men and woman who served our country during war time. She was a devout Catholic who dedicated her spiritual time between St. Catherine's Church and St. Mary's Church in Charlestown. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, gardening and could be seen walking Main Street in Charlestown any given day heading to The Golden Age Center. In her spare time, she enjoyed watching the Boston Red Sox and reading.
Catherine is the beloved wife of the late John A. Webster. She is the devoted mother of Susan Wasak and her husband Robert and Mary Ellen Collins and her husband Paul. She is the loving Nana to Derek, Caitlin and her husband John, Boston Firefighter Gregory, Boston Firefighter Matthew and Super Nana to Kiley and Jack. She is the beloved sister of the late Mary Hartnett, Nancy Reardon, Annie Lacey, Margaret Gallagher, Louise Fitzgerald, Alice Boudreau, Alexander Turner, Archibald Turner, Neil Turner and Peter Turner. She is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Catherine's visiting hour on Saturday morning, December 26, 2020 from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, 55 Warren St. Charlestown at 11 A.M. Her burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden. (FACIAL COVERINGS AND SOCIAL DISTANCING IS REQUIRED INSIDE THE CHURCH AND FUNERAL HOME.)
