Fay J. (Bousquet) Young, age 81, of Brockton, died unexpectedly on December 20, 2020 at Massachusetts General Hospital. Fay was the wife of the late Edward J. Young. Born and raised in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late LeRoy and Gladys (Mean) Bousquet. Fay was a 1957 graduate of Brockton High School. She retired in 1995, as the Manager of Boston Mutual Insurance, Brockton District Office.
Fay was a member of the Brockton Council on Aging and enjoyed round dancing with her late husband, bowling, playing cards and trips to Foxwoods. She was a very caring and compassionate person and the times shared with her family, friends and her neighbor’s children were special to her.
Fay is survived by her brother David Bousquet of Brockton and her nephews David Bousquet of Virginia and Shawn Bousquet of Brockton.
A Funeral Mass will be held in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Wednesday, December 23, at 10:30am. Following COVID guidelines, masks must be worn and social distancing observed in church. Burial will be held at Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater at a later date. Donations in Fay’s name may be made to the Animal Protection Center of SE Mass, 1300 West Elm St. Ext., Brockton, MA 02301.
