Ronald M. “Ronnie” Matteson 68, of Franklin, died peacefully, Monday Dec. 21, 2020 at Milford Regional Medical Center, following an illness. He was the beloved husband of Nancy G. (Burgess) Matteson, with whom he shared 46 years of marriage.
Born May 20, 1952 in Milford a son of the late Morton C. Matteson, Jr. and Marguerite (Verna) Matteson, he was a lifelong resident of Franklin.
He was raised and educated in Franklin and was a graduate of North Bennett St. Industrial School. Ronnie worked as a machinist at the former Engelhard Corporation in Plainville. Following his work there, he became the activities director for Blackstone Valley Adult Day Care in Bellingham, a job he truly loved and enjoyed.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend; he was always willing to help someone. Ronnie enjoyed woodworking, golfing, antique cars, and bowling.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Karen E. Waters of Franklin, Kevin M. Matteson and his life partner Danielle of Hudson, a brother Joseph Matteson of Walpole, and a sister, Donna Marie Zajac of Virginia.
Also surviving are his beloved grandchildren, Nicole Waters, Timothy Waters, Jr., Brandan Waters, Shannon Roberts and Kitana Matteson.
