EAST MACHIAS- Eric E. Murphy, 52 passed away peacefully on December 15,2020, at Maine Medical Center in Portland with his loving family by his side after a courageous battle with heart failure.
He was born in Machias, ME on May 8, 1968 a son of the late Marie (Smith) Murphy. After graduating from Narragugas High School, he had several jobs. He worked many years for LePage Bakeries (Country Kitchen) delivering bread and most recently was employed by Project Flagging.
Eric enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, four wheeling and spending time with his family at camp on Gardners Lake. He loved the outdoors.
He is predeceased by his mother Marie Murphy, Grandparents Helen and Eugene Smith and very special Uncle Arlo Smith.
Eric is survived by his loving wife of 24 years Deborah ( Whitney) Murphy : his beautiful daughters Hayley Murphy and Cassidy Murphy : his grandson Lane who he adored. Sisters-Bonny Call and Michelle Bagley and brother Larry Murphy. In-laws: Carla and Larry Morgan and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many extended family members.
