Obituary

Myrtle Claire Rudolph, born July 23, 1926, in Pubnico, Nova Scotia, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2020, at the Colonial Poplin Nursing Facility in Fremont, New Hampshire with her daughter Anne at her side. Claire McComiskey came to this country in 1944 from Nova Scotia, a shy Canadian farm girl from a fishing village called Pubnico. She met and married Charles Rudolph, became an American citizen, had three children, worked hard and spoiled many grandchildren in her lifetime. She was a devout Christian who practiced her faith and read her bible daily. She is with the Lord, our God, this day no doubt.

Claire is predeceased by her husband, Charles E. Rudolph of 43 years, sisters Marion Tyrell and Minnie McComiskey and brothers Douglas and Rufus McComiskey. She is also survived by her daughter Valerie Clark and her husband James Clark of South Carolina, her son Philip Rudolph and Jody Roffi of Reading, Massachusetts and her daughter Anne Saunders and her husband Gary Saunders of Derry, New Hampshire. She is survived by her grandchildren Tracey Pratt of Rhode Island, Jason Clark of Manchester, New Hampshire, Garrett Saunders of Manchester, New Hampshire, Ryan Saunders of Derry, New Hampshire, Dominic Lagrotteria of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Phillip Lagrotteria of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She is also survived by her great grandchildren Christopher Saunders, Alex Saunders, Amanda Blanchette, Corey Pratt, Jeffrey Pratt, Sarah Pratt and great, great grandchildren Kaiden Blanchette, Elizabeth Blanchette and Amelia Pratt. Claire’s only surviving sibling is brother Chesly McComiskey who lives with his wife Ruth in Lower East Pubnico, Nova Scotia. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews in both the United States and Canada.

Following cremation, memorial services will be held at a later date in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. Her urn will be buried in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody, MA. Services to celebrate Claire Rudolph’s life will be announced in the Spring of 2021. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Colonial Poplin Nursing Home, 442 Main St., Fremont, NH 03044.
