FALL RIVER - Doris DeCoste 86, of Fall River peacefully passed away on December 19th 2020 at the Catholic Memorial Home. Miss DeCoste was the daughter of the late Ernest and Mary Rose(Pelletier) DeCoste.
A gifted seamstress Doris worked her entire career in the garment industry. She was employed for many years at Harlee Manufacturing and Trina Inc.
Doris enjoyed spending time with her family especially her beloved mother and sister Beatrice. Doris loved swans and her hobbies included bingo, gardening and shopping. With a skein of yarn always in her lap family members are still enjoying many of the knitted and crocheted items she made over the years.
Miss DeCoste is survived by her brother Arthur DeCoste , sisters in law Helen DeCoste and Dorothy DeCoste as well as several nieces and nephews . She was also the sister of the late Beatrice Levesque, Norman DeCoste, Albert DeCoste and Paul DeCoste.
A celebration of Doris’s life will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 23rd in St. Joseph’s Church during a 12:00pm mass followed by her burial at St.Patricks Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association.
