Rose (Medeiros) Andrade. Age 97. Wife of the late Jesse Andrade (a/k/a De Andrade). Residence 1748 Highland Ave., Fall River, MA. formerly of 100 Bardsley St., Fall River, MA. Died Saturday at the Highland Rehabilitation Center Nursing Center. Born in New Bedford, MA. Daughter of the late Joseph Medeiros and the late Mary (Silva) Medeiros. She resided in New Bedford, moved to the Azores at age 13 then back to Fall River in 1946. Before retiring, she was a Repair Woman at Shelbourne Shirt Co. She was a member of Espirito Santo Church and the Holy Rosary Sodality of Espirito Santo Church.
She is survived by Two Daughters: Maria “Connie” Raposo of Somerset and Linda Souza of Fall River, MA. Four Grandchildren and Three Grandsons. Several nieces and nephews. She was also mother of the late Odette Neto and sister of the late Jack Braga, John and Manuel Medeiros and Mary Cunha.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 1521 No. Main St. on Saturday at 8:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Espirito Santo Church, Alden St., at 9:30 A.M. Internment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours Friday 4-8 P.M.
