LEICESTER: Margaret E. Wilson, "Maggie", 73, of 1073 Main St., died Friday, Dec. 18 at Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester.
She leaves her sister, Claire D. Wilson of Oxford, her brothers Mark F. Wilson and his wife Mary of Leicester, R. Barry Wilson of Oxford and Jeffrey A. Wilson and his wife Laura of Oxford, her close extended family; David G. Wilson, Jr. and his wife Cheryl, James C. Wilson and his wife Sandra, Robert F. Wilson and his wife Debra and Annmarie Montiverdi and her husband Christopher all of Leicester, her cherished aunt Geraldine A. Wilson of Leicester, many treasured nieces and nephews whose lives were greatly touched by their beloved "Maggie".
Margaret was a dispatcher for Worcester Fire for 12 years, prior to her retirement in 2004. She received a commendation in recognition of her "professional demeanor and actions as a dispatcher for the City of Worcester during a time of great tragedy on Dec. 3, 1999." She previously worked at Worcester City Hospital.
Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of F. Duncan and Eileen T. (McCue) Wilson and later graduated from St. Peter's High School in Worcester.
Her funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 23 at 11 a.m. in St. Pius X Church, 1153 Main St., Leicester. Friends are asked to go directly to the Church. Covid-19 precautions, face masks and social distancing must be observed. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Leicester for all to attend. There are no public calling hours.
