Emanuel A. DeAlmeida, 76, of New Bedford passed away Monday December 14, 2020. He was the loving husband of Venulda (Evora) DeAlmeida; they had been married for 53 years.
Born in Brava, Cape Verde, the son of the late Ilidio and Crisaleda Almeida, he lived in New Bedford for many years.
Everything Maney did was to support his family and for the love of his daughter Lena, always setting a good example to prepare his grandchildren to live meaningful lives. He deeply loved his wife "Zinha" and together they made a joyful couple. Maney was never without a smile. He is loved by many and will be truly missed as he would always greet strangers with a smile and treat them like family.
He is survived by his loving wife Venulda; his daughter, Lena Gomes and her husband; two grandchildren, Siris and Kiana Gomes, all of Dartmouth; his brother, Turibio; his sisters, Milda, Celina, Jacki, and Hildebrand; and several nieces and nephews.
His Funeral Service will be held on Monday December 21, 2020 at 9 AM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St, New Bedford, MA. Burial will follow in South Dartmouth Cemetery.
