Jimmy Louis McMillian, Sr., 71, of Ocilla passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2020, at his residence. A private funeral service and burial will be held for Mr. McMillian at a later date.
Born April 21, 1949 in Meridian, Mississippi, Mr. McMillian was the son of the late Lindsey Louis McMillian and Hazel Whiddon Kirkland. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Monk McMillian; three brothers, Glenn McMillian, Richard McMillian and Justin McMillian; and two sisters, Helen Porter and Marie McMillian. Before retiring, he was the owner and operator of McMillian and Sons Construction Company in Ocilla. He loved working with farm animals and he was a member of Midway Church of God in Ocilla.
Mr. McMillian is survived by four sons and two daughters-in-law, Jimmy Lewis Jr. and Sally McMillian of Pinehurst, Terry and Lisa McMillian of Macon, Michael McMillian of Eastman and Glenn Bridges of Warner Robins; four daughters and one son-in-law, Kim and Bobby Piper of Byron, Tammy Collins and Vickey Hildebrand, both of Warner Robins and Charity McMillian of Ocilla; one brother Danny McMillian of Milledgeville; one sister, Sue McMillian of Ocilla; fifteen grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
