96, of Revere, formerly of Everett beloved wife of the late Manuel “Manny” Canter, died December 16th at Massachusetts General Hospital. Born in Everett, she was the daughter of the late Benny and Eda (Rutstein) Rozomofsky. Dobie was raised and educated in Everett a graduate of Everett High School. Dobie worked with her husband Manny at the former Canter Monument of Chelsea as the office manager.
She was involved in many organizations throughout Chelsea and Everett such as Chelsea Jewish Nursing Home, Sisterhood of Congregational Tifereth Israel of Everett, Hebrew Rehab of Roslindale, Women’s International B’Nai Brith and the Simon Wiesenthal Holocaust Center.
Dobie is survived by her three children Eda Canter Theodoridis, Rosalind F. Devine and her husband Jerry and Bruce Canter and his wife Kathleen. She is also survived by her grandchildren Stephen & his wife Kathleen, Jeremy & Aaron & great grandchild Kieran & Wesley, Jr. and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her siblings Al Rozomofsky, Sally Levine & Sam Ross. Due to Covid 19 pandemic private services were held.
