SPENCER: Jean M. (Plante) Flannery,77, of Spencer, died Friday, Dec. 11 at Timothy Daniels House in Holliston.
She was the wife of John Flannery who died in 2017. She leaves her sons Mark J. Flannery and his wife Joyce of Bellingham, Francis P. Flannery and his wife Laurie of Westminster and Michael W. Flannery and his wife Stacy of Downers Grove, Ill., her sister Ann R. Carroll and her husband Bill of Brewster and Madeline E. Lennon and her husband James of Millbury, 8 grandchildren; Julia, Patrick, John, Samuel, Allison, Mick, Hugh & Quinn, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Claire L. Gallant in 2006.
Jean was a longtime school teacher at No. Brookfield Elementary School before retiring in 2003.
Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of Normand and Beulah E. (Grenier) Plante. She was a member of Mary, Queen of the Rosary Parish.
A private burial service for Jean will be held on Saturday, Dec. 19 in Mary, Queen of the Rosary Cemetery. A Memorial service for all who loved her will be held at a date to be determined in the Spring. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Food Pantry c/o Mary, Queen of the Rosary Parish, 46 Maple St., Spencer, Ma 01562. J.
