Obituary

MILLBURY/ WORCESTER _ Alex J. Kmicinski Jr., 90, formerly of Worcester and Millbury, passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at the Overlook Masonic Health Care Center in Charlton. He is preceded in death by his wife Leila (Turner) Kmicinski who died in 2006.

Al is survived by two sisters, Barbara J. Aldridge and Delores D. Putman of Worcester and eleven nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by siblings, Constantine Uszenski, Victoria Brady, Helen Budzinski, Irene Mahoney and Edward Kmicinski. He was the son of Alex J. Kmicinski Sr. and Victoria (Tyborowski) Kmicinski. Al worked as a graphic designer in the digital communication industry for many years prior to retiring. He served in the United States Air Force as a teletype operator.

Al was always the joker who had a wonderful sense of humor, with a lifelong love of bowling and karaoke. Because of the help and support of family and friends Al continued to bowl on the Auburn bowling league and sing karaoke in Auburn and Millbury until the spring of 2019. Al was a guitar player and avid fan of country music. He recorded several songs under the name Al Evans. Last but not least Al's family wishes to acknowledge the loving, thoughtful and companionate care that “Uncle Al” received from his Overlook Masonic Health Carefamily. We are truly grateful for everything you have done to make Overlook his home over the last three years and especially during these most difficult and unprecedented times. We will forever be indebted to you.

A committal service at Hope Cemetery will be held privately at a later date. HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., Worcester is assisting the family with arrangements.
