Obituary

FALL RIVER – Christopher A. Carvalho, Jr., age 32, passed away after battling a short illness on December 11, 2020 at Lahey Clinic. Born in Fall River, he was the son of Christopher A. Carvalho and Donna (Perry) Whritenour and step-parents Liz Carvalho and Greg Whritenour. Christopher loved to spend time with his family and friends, especially his companion and soul mate Shannon Cordeiro and his dog Dutchess. He was the owner of Carvalho’s Flooring and was a talented craftsman that achieved at everything he did. He was a kind, loving and respectful brother to all his 5 sisters, referred by them as “The Prince”. Also known as a compassionate person, with these sparkling green eyes, who everyone seemed to love. He enjoyed playing hockey, snowboarding, riding dirt bikes and cooking specialty steaks on the grill.

Along with his parents he is survived by his siblings Dawn M. Trahan (companion Robert Pacheco) of Fall River, Allison Trahan of Fall River, Amber Knox (husband Jason Knox) of SC, Heather Carvalho (companion Jake Viveiros) of FL and Rebecca Carvalho-Pettit (husband Doug Pettit) of SC; paternal grandparents Carles and Pauline Carvalho formerly of Somerset now residing in FL; nieces and nephews Kayla Borges, Lindsey Carrita, Joshua Trahan, Jacob Rodrigues, Leigha Pacheco, Isaiah Witt, Nathan Rector, Jayden Rector, Madelyn Pettit and Emmaline Pettit; one great-nephew Kenneth Borges; as well as cousins, aunts, uncles and many friends. Some of his dearest friends were Andrew Medeiros, David Fournier, Jacob Moreau, Robert Soares, Kenneth Freeborn, Logan Bence and his cousin Derek Furness. Christopher was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Manuel and Deolinda R. Perry of Fall River.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebration of life service at Christ The Rock Church at 10 A.M. on Saturday, Dec. 19th. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours on Friday, Dec. 18th from 5-7 P.M. Arrangements are under the direction of the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Fall River.
