Clinton L. Smith, Jr.
Retired Brick Mason for Local # 3

TEWKSBURY: Clinton Lewis Smith, Jr., age 85, a longtime Tewksbury resident, passed away at the Sutton Hill Center in North Andover on Wednesday, December 9, 2020.

Born in Waltham on July 22, 1935, he was the son of the late Clinton L. and Lenora (Coyne) Smith.

Clint was raised in Waltham, attended Waltham schools and graduated from Waltham High School.

In 1953, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War era. Clint was awarded the National Defense Service Medal for his active duty service.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a Brick mason by Local # 3 and worked for several area construction companies including TLT Construction and Tisbert Masonry.

He was a member of several organizations including the Tewksbury Elks Post # 2070, the Tewksbury D.A.V. Post # 110, the Billerica Moose Lodge.

Clint was a longtime member of the Billerica Rod & Gun Club, where he enjoyed competing in Trap Shooting and Pistol Shooting competitions. He also enjoyed following the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox.


Clint is survived by his son, Clinton L. Smith, III of Tewksbury. He was the brother of Bonnie Blay of Tuscon, AZ and the late Nancy Smith Schwartz.

Family and friends are invited to attend his graveside service to be held on Friday, December 18th at 2 p.m. at the Tewksbury Cemetery, 172 East St., Tewksbury. Please meet at cemetery.
