Kathleen M. (Cook) Turco, age 70, of Norton, passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. She was the beloved wife of the late Roy L. Turco, to whom she was wed for forty-three years at the time of his death on June 10, 2013.
Born in Norwood, MA on April 12, 1950, she was a loving daughter of the late Ronald W., Sr. and Nora A. (Costello) Cook.
Kathy grew up in Norwood, was educated at Saint Catherine’s School and was a graduate of Norwood High School. Later in life, she received her degree as a Master Gardener, an accomplishment she was so proud of.
A resident of Norton for the past forty-seven years, Mrs. Turco was a dedicated homemaker to her adoring family and had also been employed as a Data Processor at Gerber Electronics in Norwood.
Kathy attended Saint Mary’s Church in Norton and was a member of the Norton Garden Club. She loved spending time with her family and her hobbies included reading and water color painting.
She is survived by her devoted sons: Gerard P. Turco of New Hampshire, Fred M. Turco and his wife Diane of Connecticut and Martin A. Turco of Norton. She was the cherished grandmother of Cassandra, Matthew, Briana, Abigail, Ryan, Nicholas and Christopher and the great grandmother of Jace. She was the dear sister of Ronald Cook, Jr. and his longtime companion Antoinette Carpentieri of Walpole and is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews, including her niece Crystal, as well as her treasured friends.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend her funeral service on Tuesday, December 15th at 11:00 A.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Avenue) Norton. Burial will follow at the Timothy Plain Cemetery in Norton.
Visitation will be held prior to the services on Tuesday morning beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home.
