Richard T. "Richie" Hagerty, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life suddenly on Friday, December 11, 2020 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He was 46 years of age.
Richie was born in Everett on March 29, 1974, a son of Maureen (Ferguson) Hagerty and the late Richard D. Hagerty. He grew up in Charlestown where he attended St. Catherine's Parochial School and graduated from Pope John High School in Everett in 1992. Richie was a Certified Personal Trainer and also worked for ABC Moving Company for several years. He enjoyed traveling and working out and was very proud of his Boston Marathon accomplishments.
Richie is the loving father of Thomas Hagerty. He is the beloved son of Maureen (Ferguson) Hagerty and the late Richard D. Hagerty. He is the beloved brother of Noreen Ridings and her husband Sean. He is the loving uncle to Taylor and Keighan. He is the longtime companion of Jennifer DeBerardinis. He is also survived by his many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and his beloved dog Bailey Boy.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Richie's visiting hours on Friday morning, December 18, 2020 from 9 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by his Funeral Mass in St. Frances De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 12 Noon. His burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett. (FACIAL COVERINGS AND SOCIAL DISTANCING IS REQUIRED INSIDE CHURCH AND FUNERAL HOME).
