Xhevdet Bacova, 62, of Worcester died Thursday, December 10th in UMASS Memorial Hospital – University Campus surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Rukije (Lilani) Bacova; his four daughters, Ervina Haganey and her husband, Mike Saari, Hatixhe Bacova and her husband, Artur Dibra, Fabiola Bacova, and Lubjana Bacova all of Worcester; four brothers, Dyli Bacova, Ramazan Bacova, Zydi Bacova and their families all of Albania and Arjan Bacova and his family of Worcester; a sister, Flutura Turuku and her family of Albania; a cousin, Irland Shaqja and his family, of West Boylston; he also leaves his five grandchildren, Travis, Krystal, Alessia, Alex and Michael.
He was born in Tirana, Albania the son of Vath and Hatixhe (Buzani) Bacova and came to Worcester in 1996. Xhevdet had his own television program on WCCA Channel 13 in Worcester called ARB TV for more than ten years. He also created his own Albanian television channel called ARB TV. Xhevdet proudly owned and operated Tirana Studio Production for photography and videography for many years.
Calling Hours are Tuesday, December 15th from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue followed by a graveside service at 12:30 PM in Hope Cemetery, 119 Webster Street.
