Obituary

William (Bill) Hogan, born March 2,1942, died on December 9, 2020, after a long battle with diabetes and heart issues at Lowell General Hospital. A was a son of the late William C. Hogan & Mary Eileen (Wholey) Hogan. He is survived by two brothers, Kevin Hogan and Rev. John Hogan, OMI, of St. Williams Parish in Tewksbury, and his sister, Mary (Hogan) Saab, as well as his nephews, Bryan and Rochelle Hogan of Southington, CT, William J. Hogan of Fort Worth, TX, and Karam and Tanya Saab of Denver, CO, and his four grand nephews and one grand niece.

Bill graduated from Lowell Trade School and worked for many year at the Merrimack News Company in Lowell with his father, as manager of the book department. Bill also worked in the maintenance Department at Saints Memorial Medical Center in Lowell for ten years.

He owned property at Hampton Beach for many years and recently at Woodbrook in Fitzwilliams, New Hampshire, where he had many friends. At Woodbrook he helped for many years raising money for charities in Keene, New Hampshire. He was a fan of all Boston sports teams, especially the Patriots and Red Sox.

Services will be private due to the pandemic. His Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at St. William's Church in Tewksbury, MA on Monday, December 14, at 11:30 a.m. and all precautions will be observed. Please visit St. William's website for the streaming of the Funeral Mass. Burial will be private at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Lowell. Donations in Memory of Bill may be made to St. William's Church, Tewksbury.
