Joan M. Consalvo, 73

Dateline: Mansfield, MA

Joan M. (Boyden) Consalvo, age 73, of Mansfield, passed away, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her adoring family on Thursday, December 10, 2020. She was the beloved wife of the late Silvio C. “Sal” Consalvo, who died on May 23, 2009.

Born in Boston, MA on December 8, 1947, she was a loving daughter of the late James and Sophia (Budreika) Boyden.

Joan grew up in Canton and was a 1966 graduate of Canton High School. She had made her home in Mansfield for many years and was a former resident of North Attleboro and Plainville.

Prior to retiring, Mrs. Consalvo had been employed in the Customer Service Department at Predictive Services in Walpole. She had previously worked for sixteen years at Motorola in Mansfield and also, part time, at the ARC of Northern Bristol County.

Joan’s family was truly the love of her life, especially her treasured grandchildren. She attended Saint Mary’s Church in Mansfield and will always be remembered for her strong work ethics.

She is survived by her devoted sons: Michael A. Consalvo, Sr. of Brockton and Gregory J. Consalvo and his wife Gina of North Attleboro. She was the cherished grandmother of Michael, Jr., Alyssa, Katelyn, Joseph and Gianna. She was the dear sister of Janice Ireland and her husband Frank of Stoughton and the late James Boyden and John Boyden. She is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews.

Her funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 16th at 11:00 A.M. in Saint Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt St. (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will follow at Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Mansfield.

Visiting hours are omitted and in lieu of flowers, donations in Joan’s memory may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Avenue, Boston, MA 02215.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield.
