Joyce Rowe Satterfield, 82, of Irwin County, Georgia, died Thursday, December 10, 2020, at Pruitt Health in Ocilla, Georgia.
Graveside services will be held 11 AM, Saturday, December 12, 2020, at Spring Hill Cemetery, in Irwin County, Georgia, with Elder Harold Roberts officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services in the sanctuary.
Mrs. Satterfield was born April 10, 1938, in Irwin County, Georgia, to the late H. C. Rowe, Jr. & Grace Wilder Rowe. She graduated from Irwin County High School in 1956 and lived in the community all of her life. Mrs. Satterfield was owner and operator of Joyce’s Beauty Shop and she enjoyed cooking, reading and spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed the holidays. Mrs. Satterfield was a member of Spring Hill Primitive Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Gerald & Cathy Satterfield of Irwin County; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Taylor DeBerry of Ocilla; grandchildren: Brad Satterfield, Andy & Dene’ Satterfield, David Satterfield, Hope DeBerry Folker & Chuck, Heather DeBerry Wigfield & Todd; great-grandchildren: Keegan Folker, Cali Folker, Hayes Beecher, Merritt Beecher, Rowe Wigfield, Payton Satterfield and Blakley Ann Satterfield. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands: Charles R. DeBerry and Durward Satterfield; two sons: David R. DeBerry and Rick DeBerry and a great-granddaughter, Haylee Alexis Davis.
