Lillian M. Cote, 97, of Woonsocket died Wednesday December 9, 2020 at The Friendly Home. She was the loving wife of the late Roger Cote. Although Roger passed away in 1961 his memory remained foremost in Lillian’s heart for the remainder of her life.
Born and raised in Woonsocket she was a daughter of the late Adelard and Emilie (Roscoe) Vallee. She resided most of her life in Woonsocket.
In her earlier years she was employed at the Bell Company in Woonsocket. Roger and Lillian moved to California and Lillian lived there for almost 25 years before returning to Woonsocket. Roger passed while they were in California. While living on the West Coast Lillian was employed at the St. Catherine Military School in Anaheim, California.
Lillian had a special place in her heart for animals especially birds of all feathers. Lillian’s faith and love for her family were at the center of her life.
Aunt Lillian always had a smile and was always happy with the simple things in life. She will be greatly missed. Her family wishes to offer their sincere gratitude to all the caregivers at The Friendly Home who gave her such wonderful and loving care over the past several years.
Lilian was the sister of the late Leo and Arthur Vallee, Doris Levesque, Alice LaGreca, Anita Desmarais, Beatrice Gaulin and Cecile Hamelin. She is also predeceased by her nephews Louis LaGreca, Raymond “Ray” Riel and great-niece Patti Mowry.
Lilian was the loving and devoted aunt of Pauline Riel, Terri and Stanley Eason, Christiana “Christie” Andre, Tyler and Melissa Eason, Mariah Eason, Ellie and Megan Mowry and Chris “CJ” White of Tennessee. She also leaves many other nieces and nephews all over the country.
Services for Lillian are private. She will be laid to rest with her beloved husband Roger at Precious Blood Cemetery.
