In Randolph, David Rose, passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 9, 2020 after a period of declining health. He was the beloved husband of the late Jean (Frost) Rose. They were married for 62 years and resided in Taunton, MA. He was born in Tiverton, RI, the son of the late Eldred and Mildred (Priest) Rose on March 24, 1932. He grew up and was educated in Fall River, MA. He was a proud U.S. Air Force veteran serving time during the Korean War. He was a dedicated family man that loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed traveling, gardening, cooking and playing cards. He was an avid Boston sports fan, who coached for many years in Taunton youth Babe Ruth Baseball League. Before retiring, he worked many years for John Hancock as an insurance agent.
He is survived by his four sons David Rose of Fall River, Richard Rose and his spouse Brian Regan of Dorchester, Robert and Laura (Howard) Rose of Raynham, and Gene and Kim (Marshall) Rose of Taunton, Daughter in laws, Janet (Lawfer) Rose and Sandra (Silva) Rose. His grandchildren, Alicia Rose, Amy Rose, Alison Rose, Jordan Rose, Krystal Howard, Kaytelynn Howard, brother and sister in law, Lawrence Frost of FL and Maurice Guay of Taunton and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. David was also the brother of the late Eldred and Cora Rose, Donald and Mildred Rose, William and Bernice Rose and Charlie Rose.
Family and friends are welcome to attend a graveside service that will be held at Cedar Knoll Cemetery in East Taunton, 175 Staples St. on December 14th at 11am. Arrangements are under the care of the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home in Taunton. Visiting hours are kindly omitted.
