Obituary

Aldor “Al” Collard, 93, of Woonsocket died Sunday December 6, 2020 at Oakland Grove Health Care Center. He was the husband of the late Antoinette (Gesualdi) Collard and the late Margaret “Maggie” (Rousseau) Collard.
Born in West Warwick he was a son of the late Joseph and Marie (Doiron) Collard. He was a resident of Woonsocket for over 60 years.
After graduating from high school in West Warwick Al proudly served in the United States Navy in the years following the end of WWII.
Al worked as a painting contractor and was a member of the Painters and Allied Trades International Union. No height was too much for Al as he was always willing to tackle jobs that other fellows would hesitate to undertake.
Al is survived by his daughters Patricia “Trish” Belanger and her husband Gary of Woonsocket and Paula Dumas and her husband Ron of Manville/Burrillville, and was the father of the late Michael Collard and survived by his step-daughter Doreen Spink and her husband William of Florida.
He was the brother of the late Armand, Gerry, Alfred and George Collard. Al is survived by his grandchildren Loribeth, Melissa, Kasey and Sara Dumas and great-grandchildren Tyler, Veronica, Ian, Briana, Benjamin, Thomas and Brooke and several nieces and nephews.
Service will be private. Arrangements are in care of the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave. Woonsocket.
