Obituary

Lillian I. (Scott) Swederskas, age 92, of Taunton, died peacefully December 3, 2020 at Marian Manor following a period of failing health. Lillian was the wife of the late Joseph Swederskas. Born and raised in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Pheobe (Brewster) Scott. Lillian was a 1947 graduate of Brockton High School and worked in the garment industry for many years, retiring from New England MacIntosh.

She enjoyed reading, listening to music, sewing, baking and feeding her family. But her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Lillian is survived by her children Linda Butler of Bourne, Victoria Betz and her husband Thomas of Taunton and Adam Swederskas and his wife Beth of Norwood; five grandchildren Brian Butler, Jennifer Butler Lapointe, Heather Macomber, Peter Betz and Lily Swederskas; seven great grandchildren Garrett, Griffin and Charleigh Buter, David, Alexis, Wyatt and Cooper Butler Lapointe and Reagan Macomber. She was the sister of Raymond Scott of Bridgewater, Walter Scott of Sagamore Beach, Paul Scott of Taunton and the late Phyliss Schmid, Ethel Matta, Hazel Blatchford, Edna McNevin, Ralph, Robert, Stanley, Charles, John, Kenneth and Donald Scott. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Private family services will be held, and Lillian will be buried in Pine Hill Cemetery.
