Muriel C. (Kelley) McInnis, a resident of Malden and formerly of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at her home in Malden. She was 82 years of age.
Muriel was born in Boston on February 12, 1938, a daughter of the late Owen F. Kelley and Grace E. (Martine) Kelley. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Girls High School in 1955. Muriel first worked as a Clerk for the John Hancock Insurance Company for several years and then for Verizon as a Repair Operator for 19 years. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting in her spare time.
Muriel is the beloved wife of 60 years to Francis X."Frank" McInnis. She is the devoted mother of Diane F. Miller, Grace E. Deangelis and her husband David, Francis X. McInnis Jr. and his wife Diane and Jennifer Rothstein and her husband Alan. She is the loving grandmother to Thomas, Deborah, Daniel, Francis X. III, Michael, Kelly, Gregory, Genevieve, the late Francis X. and to her great-grandchildren Francis, April, Layla, and James. She is the beloved sister of Francis X. Kelley and his late wife Ann, James M. Kelley and his late wife Connie, Walter Kelley and his partner Tom Cobb and Kevin Kelley and his wife Geri. She is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Muriel's Funeral on Monday, December 14, 2020 at 9 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Frances De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 10 A.M. Her burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett. Her visiting hours will be on Sunday, December 13, 2020 from 2 P.M. to 4 P.M. in the funeral home. (FACIAL COVERINGS AND SOCIAL DISTANCING IS REQUIRED INSIDE CHURCH AND FUNERAL HOME).
