Angeline B. Reardon, 95, of Pawcatuck died Saturday, December 5, 2020 at her home. She is predeceased by her husband of 54 years, William J. Reardon who died in 2001.
Angeline was born on December 29, 1924 in Westerly, RI, the daughter of Frank and Marietta (Nigrelli) Barravecchia. She grew up on Stillman Avenue with her two brothers Salvatore and Domenick in Pawcatuck and was raised with a strong Italian Sicilian culture. She graduated from Stonington High School in the class of 1942. They are the only Generation to have earned the accolade “The Greatest.”
She and her husband, Bill, were married on October 11, 1947. She worked at Chelsea Groton Bank in Pawcatuck and retired as Branch Manager in 1990 after 30 years of service. She was a volunteer at the Westerly Hospital, Enders Island, and was an active member of St. Michael’s Church. In her later years she was an avid walker with her “earlybird” friends in Wilcox Park and hosted many tea parties at her home.
She is survived by her son William P. Reardon, her daughter Maryann Rose and a granddaughter and a grandson.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael’s Church, 60 Liberty Street in Pawcatuck today, Friday, December 11, at 10:00am. Burial will immediately follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery.
