Haralambos Kofidis, age 86 passed away on Dec. 7, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 5, 1934 in Sohoum, Russia, a son of the late Nikolas and Efthimia (Michaelidis) Kofidis. Haralambos arrived in America in 1971, and became a man of many trades, including owning a pizza shop and dry cleaning business. He fixed and repaired anything he put his hands on. That same year he met his wife Bernadette and they married in 1978 in Boston, MA. After retirement, Haralambos' love for gardening and wood working grew, and he loved to share his talents with everyone around him. He always grew more vegetables than his family needed and shared his crops with neighbors and loved ones. He was a faithful member of Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Chicopee. Haralambos looked forward to Sunday for church services and being surrounded by his family. He partook in the sacraments of the church and especially loved the Eucharist. His love of God and the Eucharist permeated through his entire family. Haralambos received communion for the last time on Sunday December 6th which prepared him for his passing and life eternal. May his memory be eternal. He is survived by his loving wife Bernadette Kofidis of Granby; 2 sons, Haralambos D. Kofidis and his wife Laurin of Belchertown and Nikolas Kofidis and his wife Heather of Granby; 2 daughters, Nicoletta Adjei and her husband Daniel of Florence and Xristina Warren and her husband Andrew of Belchertown; 2 brothers Lazaros Kofides and his wife Anastasia of Amherst and Dimitrious Kofides and his wife Niki of Greece; 1 sister Despina Fotopolous of Chicopee along with his 7 beloved grandchildren: Gabriella, Lucas Elijah, Anthony, AnnaRose, Giovanna and Jacob. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, Dec. 10, 2020 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee. Funeral service and burial will be private for family.
