Richard (Rick) A. Bennett (68) of Brockton died December 7th in the Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. He was the loving husband of Sharon L. (Pierce) Bennett.
He was born in Brockton, son of the late Donald Bennett and Helen (Sundling) Bennett. Richard served in the Coast Guard during the Vietnam Conflict and was a retired Boston Postal worker. He currently was working for the Amazon Company in Stoughton and was a 1970 graduate of Brockton High School. Rick enjoyed flea markets, metal detecting and making Nantucket baskets.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his son Christopher Bennett of Abington, his daughter Heather Bennett of Abington, his sister Donna McRae of Brockton, 4 grandchildren, Brandon, Kayla, Anna and Madison.
A Graveside Service will take place in the Colebrook Cemetery, Essex Street at Park Avenue Whitman Saturday December 12th at 12:30 pm. Visitation in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street Brockton Friday December 11th from 6-8 pm.
Due to the COVID-19 Massachusetts Phase 3 Guidelines the Funeral Home will be open to 40 percent occupancy, face masks are required and please practice social distancing. We are all in this together.
