William Douglas McGeoghegan
TEWKSBURY William Douglas McGeoghegan, 81 of Tewksbury, passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill. He was born in Malden, MA on November 26, 1939 and was a son of the late Francis McGeoghegan and the late Murial Gladys (Smith) McGeoghegan. He was raised in Malden where he attended the area schools.
In 1959 he enlisted with the United States Army serving as a Sergeant during the Korean War until his honorable discharge in 1963. Following his discharge he continued to serve with the national guard for many years. In his younger days he worked for Digital, and more recently worked as a concrete laborer for Shea Concrete.
He is survived by his two sons, Douglas McGeoghegan and his wife, Susan of Billerica, and Paul McGeoghegan of Tewksbury; his grandchildren Shawn, Jaclyn, Darren, Kayla and Nicoletta; his great grandchidren Jordan and Emma. He is also survived by his Sister - In -Law Nancy McGeoghegan and his nieces and nephews, as well as many friends and neighbors on Carnation Drive.
William was the former husband and longtime friend of Lucy Julia Ruscio of Tewksbury; and father of the late Steven McGeoghegan who passed away in 2005; and brother of the late Harvey McGeoghegan.
