Obituary

Marguerite E. (Malley) Barrett, 92, of Worcester died Sunday, December 6th in Care One of Millbury. She leaves her brother, Richard Malley of Uxbridge; six daughters, Dorothy DiGeronimo of Auburn, Judith Brosnihan and husband, Paul of Charlton, Maureen Sbrogna and her husband, Michael of Worcester, Deborah Boland and her husband, John of Rutland, Elizabeth Boyle and her husband, Kevin of Grafton and Julianne Genatossio of Millbury; six sons, Richard Barrett of California, James Barrett, Robert Barrett, John Barrett and his wife, Nancy all of Worcester, Thomas Barrett and his wife, Renee of Fall River and David Barrett of Somerset; She also leaves 19 grandchildren, Caroline, Michael, Jillian, Ryan, Brendan, Bonnie, Sarah, Marybeth, Megan, Scott, Matthew, Cameron, Austin, Joshua, Nicole, Nicholas, Lindsey, Jennifer and Timothy; 18 beloved great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, James F. Malley and his wife, Claire and a nephew, James Malley.
She was born in Worcester the daughter, of James and Lucille (Butler) Malley. Marguerite was a longtime member of St. Peter’s Church. She worked as a secretary at Dr. Kelley’s Office and previously at Converse Associates. Marguerite was devoted to her family and enjoyed spending time cooking, baking and making jigsaw puzzles. She was an avid Bruins Fan. Her favorite pastimes was spending time at the ocean and visiting Nubble Lighthouse.
The family would like to thank Care One for the compassion and support they offered Marguerite and her family.
Funeral services and burial in St. John’s Cemetery will be private. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Care One Activity Fund, 312 Millbury Avenue, Millbury, MA 01527. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue is assisting the family with arrangements.
