JoAnne Carol Morris [Proulx], 64, of Ventura, California, passed away on November 22nd, 2020 peacefully, per her arrangements, in her home. JoAnne was the eldest daughter of six children born to Conrad and Myra Jean Proulx in St. Paul, Minnesota on March 12, 1956.
Loved dearly by both friends and family JoAnne was known as an outgoing, free spirit who enjoyed life, friends, music, advocating for women rights, and spending time outdoors. JoAnne enjoyed keeping friends and family close and their bonds tight.
JoAnne is survived by her husband Paul Morris; her son Mitchell; her siblings Deb, Julie, and Ed; and her nieces and nephews Tonya, Shannon, Roxanne, Sheena, Karrie, Julianna, Eddie, Adam, Robbie, and Larry.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Ventura County Office of Education School District where JoAnne worked for 19 years, whose employees graciously volunteered to donate their sick time to ensure JoAnne could focus on her health and family for more than a year.
Due to JoAnne’s request there will be no funeral services and her ashes will be spread at sea, where she requested Into the Mystic (by Van Morrison) to be played in reflection.
