Anna Elizabeth (Zadrozny) Mierzejewski, 96, of Worcester, MA passed away in her home of 75 years Sunday morning, November 22, 2020. Anna was the ultimate matriarch, everyone called her some variation of mom, mama, gram, grandma, or little gram. She welcomed everyone into her home and made them feel like family. There wasn’t a time in her life that she wasn’t taking care of someone or something. As a child growing up in Clinton, MA she recalled helping her mother Anna (Zaroch) Zadrozny and father Mallik Zadrozny care for her 7 siblings. Raymond, Joseph, Chester, James, Frank Zadrozny, and Helen Bonior, who have all predeceased her.
After marrying Frank Mierzejewski (1920-2002) in 1948 they welcomed 5 children into the world. Frank Mierz, Dennis Mier, Thomas Mier, Edward Mierzejewski, and Maria Mierz who all still reside in MA. She was known as grandma to 9 grandchildren whom she loved dearly. She would tell anyone who would listen about all of their accomplishments, careers, and families. 13 beautiful young ladies and gentlemen were able to meet and know their great grandmother. Many other nieces, nephews, family, and friends were lucky enough to know and feel her witty sarcastic love. She loved having pets around the house, her beloved Yorkshire Terrier, Missy was at her heels for 18 years. Along the way, children and grandchildren have come and gone with dogs and cats who she loved all the same. She loved pink roses because of her favorite saint, Saint Therese, who was known as the “little flower of Jesus”, it is said she gave glory to God by just being her beautiful little self among all the other flowers in God's garden. That is how we should all remember Anna, a beautiful soul put on this earth to show her family and friends what unconditional love is.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 11 am in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church.
