LOWELL—Hermes Pena, 60 years old, a longtime resident of Lowell, died in Boston, Wednesday, March 8th, at the Massachusetts General Hospital, in Boston. He was the husband of Ramona (Rivera) Pena, who survives him.
He was born in Llares, Puerto Rico, on March 9, 1945, a son of the late Jose and Ramona (Mendes) Pena, and was educated there. He had resided in Chicago, prior to moving to Lowell in 1979.
Surviving him besides his wife are two sons: Edgardo Pena, of Lawrence; and Oscar Pena, of Lowell; two grandsons: Isaiah Pena, and Gabriel Pena; also several nieces and nephews.
He was the father of the late Jose Pena, who died in 2004.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 PM on Monday, March 13th, at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith St. (Rte. 38). A Funeral Service will be held at 8 PM. Private Committal.
