Ray L. Mercer, Sr., 86, of Waycross, passed away Friday, December 4, 2020 at Baptist Village in Waycross.
Ray was born on February 17, 1934 in Colquitt County to the late Leo Fletcher and Estelle Hammock Mercer. He was a retired radio broadcaster and a member of the Ashburn First Baptist Church. He also served his country with honor in the United States Army from 1954 until 1958.
He is survived by his sons, Ray L. Jr. (Doris) Mercer of Daisy and Mark B. (Jan) Mercer of Douglas; nine grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services will be held Monday, December 7, 2020 at 2:00 PM in Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashburn.
