Sterling W. Baird, age 59, of Weymouth passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2020. Sterling was born and raised in Weymouth. He owned and operated New England Heat Pump Services for 15 years and, more recently, worked at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in engineering with his good friend John Cameron.
Sterling married his wife, Toni, and they raised a family in Braintree. He loved working with his hands, riding dirt bikes, and fixing old cars.
Sterling is survived by his former wife Toni Baird (Svizzero) of Braintree, and his children Max Baird, Sophia Baird, and Alex Baird all of Braintree. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visitation for Sterling on Monday, December 7, 2020 from 9-10am in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) Weymouth, MA. A private burial service will take place following the visitation. Donations may be made in memory of Sterling to the Melanoma Research Foundation at 1420 K Street, NW, 7th floor Washington, DC 20005.
