Antonia Gonzalez V. Barillas, 100, of Worcester died Sunday, November 29th in St. Vincent Hospital surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by her husband, Antonio Barillas. She leaves a daughter, Maria Alicia Barillas of Tomball, Texas; 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and many great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by three children, Juana Udelia Barillas, Juan Romon Barillas, and Flor de Maria Barillas.
She was born in San Sebastin Arriba, El Salvador the daughter of Magdaleno Gonzalez and Maria Florentina Rafael. Antonia was the pillar of her family always looking out for others needs before herself. In March of 2020 became a United States Citizen which was a longtime goal of hers.
Calling hours are Sunday, December 6th from 2:00 until 4:00 PM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a service to follow at 4:00 PM. Burial will be at a later date in Florida. Social Distancing and the use of face masks that cover the nose and mouth will be part of the protocol at all of Antonia’s services.
