David T. Lomax, Jr., age 40, of Mansfield, formerly of Chicago, passed away on Monday, November 30, 2020 at the Boston Medical Center in Boston. He was the beloved husband of Alicia L. (Young) Lomax, to whom he was wed on February 12, 2016.
Born in Chicago Heights, Illinois on August 1, 1980, he was a loving son of Bertha (Lomax) Ford of Miami, Florida and the late David Bickham.
David grew up and was educated in Chicago. He had made his home in Mansfield for the past five years and was employed as a courier at LabCorp in Westborough.
David’s family was truly the focal point of his life. He lived his life low key, loved cooking, enjoyed joking around with his cherished family and friends and throughout his life remained a loyal Chicago sports fan.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his loving siblings: Latanya Bickham and her husband Christopher Bickham of Illinois, Keyon Lomax and his wife Carmencita Lomax of Georgia, Phillip Bickham of Florida, Danielle Ford of Illinois and Bobby Ford, Jr. of Washington, DC. He was the dear son-in-law of Leon McCoy of Mansfield and the late Viola Young. He was the devoted brother-in-law of Brianna Young of Mansfield, Kesean Young of Mansfield, Leon Young, Jr. and his companion Keri Perkins of Mansfield, Quatanna Hardy and her husband Khary Hardy of Mansfield and Ashley Young and her companion Bill Martin of Mansfield. He is also survived by his many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, December 6th from 10:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield.
His funeral service will be held on Monday, December 7th at 10:00 A.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Spring Brook Cemetery in Mansfield.
