Methuen, MA. – Miss Marcelle R. Noël, of Methuen MA., died peacefully at her home with her sister by her side on Thursday November 26, after a period of declining health. She was 72 years old. Born in Lawrence on November 16, 1948, Marcelle was the first born of five children to the late Chanel Noël and surviving mother, Leda (Beaudette) Noël. Marcelle grew up and was educated in Lawrence. She was an active participant in many local organizations dedicated to serving the needs of the physically and mentally challenged children and adults of the greater Lawrence area, such as G.L.A.R.C. (Burke Hospital), CLASS, Nevins Adult Day Care, American Training, and most recently Fidelity House. She enjoyed doing word-search puzzles, listening to country and Christmas music, watching reruns of “Law and Order”, Hallmark Christmas specials, and of course her beloved New England Patriots and Boston Celtics, but her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her family. With all the challenges she was faced with over her lifetime, Marcelle always took things one day at a time and made the most of what she was capable of doing. She will be dearly missed by her loving mother Leda Noël of Lawrence, MA., brothers; Normand Noël and his wife Linda of Hardwick N.J., Raymond Noël and his wife Diane of Lawrence MA., sister; Lucille White and her husband Robert of Newton N.H., and sister-in-law; Cheryl Noël of Columbus N.J. Marcelle is also survived by eleven nieces and nephews, and eight great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father Chanel Noël and brother Ronald Noël. Marcelle’s family would like to thank the many special people who have been an instrumental part of her life throughout the years: the counselors, care givers, staff, the many doctors and nurses from Lawrence General and Mass General Hospitals, and a special “Thank You” to Marcelle’s best friend Collette who, no matter what, was always there for her. Marcelle is now at peace in heaven. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Marcelle’s memory to The Fidelity House. Fidelity House CRC, 439 S.
