New Bedford – Jorge Alberto Amaral, age 66, of New Bedford, MA passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2020 at St. Luke’s Hospital. Born in St. Michael, Azores, he was the beloved son of Manuel and Lidia (Carreiro) Amaral.
Jorge’s survivors include his children, Elliot J. Amaral, Nelson C. Amaral, Jullian A. Amaral and Vanessa L. Amaral; his siblings, John Amaral and Mary Jo Vassal.
Jorge’s visiting hours will be held on Thursday December 3rd from 8:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. Followed by a service in the funeral home at 10:30 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in Rural Cemetery.
All attendees are required by current mandated restrictions to wear a face covering at all times, to social distance 6 feet and to please refrain from any close physical contact. Attendance in the funeral home will be limited in order to meet the mandated capacity restrictions and could result with a wait time outside of the funeral home.
