Cornish - Pauline M. "Polly" Brown, 76, died peacefully at her home in Cornish on November 12, 2020. She was born in Portland on May 16, 1944 a daughter of Nunzi and Elizabeth (Christian) Panetti. She attended Portland schools and was a graduate of Deering High School. She was proud to have gone back to college at age 52 to become an ordained minister.
Polly was always a hard worker and worked at several jobs as a young woman. She worked for many years as Maine Park Manager at the Holbrook Island Sanctuary. She worked several years at G.T.E. Sylvania in Standish, and later worked for many years at the White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico as a payroll clerk. She then served 8 years as Minister at the West Baldwin United Methodist Church back here in Maine.
Polly liked doing many different crafts in her spare time including crocheting and painting. Lately she kept busy making homemade greeting cards. She will be sadly missed by her family, friends and neighbors and Cornish Station.
Besides her parents, she is predeceased by a brother, Peter Panetti. Surviving is her son, James E. Brown Jr. of Limington; a brother, Nunzi Panetti Jr. and his wife Colleen of Colorado; a sister, Patricia Constiner and husband Ben of Portland; two grandsons, James D. Brown and Cole J. Brown as well as several nieces and nephews.
