Russell Carrell Floyd, 73, of Sycamore passed away Thursday, November 26, 2020 at his residence.
Russell was born on December 17, 1946 in Willacoochee to the late Jeff and Cora Jowers Floyd. He was a member of St. Luke Baptist Church in Alapaha, Georgia. Russell was a retired mechanic and manager of the John Deere Service Center in Sycamore. He also enjoyed fishing, RV camping as well as quail and deer hunting.
He is survived by his daughter, Ginger (John) Szymanski of Ellenton, Florida; sisters, Elaine Floyd (David) Akins of Nashville and Debbie Floyd (Lewis) Harrell of Axson; brothers, Julian (Evon) Floyd of Pearson and Ronnie (Donna) Floyd of Nashville; grandchildren, Oliva Rose Szymanski of Ellenton, Florida and Sarah Brooke Szymanski of Ellenton, Florida. He is also survived by 14 nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Reed Floyd and a brother, Glenn Floyd.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Bethel Cemetery. For those who wish to sign the family's guest register and pay their respects, you may do so Friday, December 4, 2020 from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Perry Funeral Chapel.
