Van Kosal Soy, 20, of Lowell, passed away Monday, November 23, 2020, at Beth Isreal Hospital in Boston after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a beloved son of Deanna Tith of Lowell and the late Kosal J.
Alexander.
Born December 30, 1999, in Boston, he was educated in the local schools, graduating from Greater Lowell Vocational Technical High School where he majored in Metal Fabrication.
Van loved time spent at the Boys and Girls Club, especially spending time in the music room making music. He also enjoyed helping people, fishing, jet skiing, and especially spending time at Martha’s Vineyard and in Maine.
In addition to his mother, Deanna, he is survived by his sister, Maliyah Mallory of Boston; his maternal grand mother, Vera Tith of Lowell; his paternal grandparents, Antoinette and Andrew Alexander of Florida; as well as many aunts and uncles including his uncle, Michael Tith of Windham, NH; and several cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by his brother, Kosal S. Soy and his grandfather Savoun Tith.
While following social distancing guidelines and wearing a mask, you are welcome to attend his funeral service on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at 12 Noon at the McDONOUGH FUNERAL HOME, 14 HIGHLAND ST., LOWELL 978-458-6816. This service will also be streamed on the funeral home facebook page. His calling hours will begin at the conclusion of the service until 4 p.m.
