Craig S. Smith, 54, of Derry, NH, died Monday, November 23, 2020 in his home. He was born in Malden, MA on January 1, 1966, a son of Craig Smith and Doris (Trout) Smith. He had been a resident of Derry since 1996, formerly living in Londonderry, NH. He was a graduate of Londonderry High School and had attended the General Electric Apprentice Program. Craig served as a Corporal in the US Marines during Desert Storm and had been a crew chief trained in crash fire rescue. He was employed as a machinist for P.P.H. in Malden, MA. Craig was a member of the American Legion Post #9 in Derry. He enjoyed duck hunting and was an accomplished decoy carver. Craig enjoyed boating, and working on antique boat motors and was a member of the Antique Outboard Motor Club.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife Tina (Pitkin) Smith of Derry; four children, Tyler LeBel, Thomas Smith, Molly Smith, and Emily Smith; two sisters, Doreen McNeill, and Diana LaMothe and her husband Dean; two nieces, Jenna McNeill, and Sadie LaMothe; and two nephews, Joseph McNeill, and DJ LaMothe.
Calling hours were held on Friday, November 27th from 4 - 7pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. Due to State of NH guidelines, all guests are required to wear masks, minimize contact and maintain social distancing.
