William F. “Billy” Flynn III, 56, of Manville died Tuesday November 17, 2020 at home.
Born in Woonsocket he was a son of the late William F. Flynn, Jr. and Barbara (Dunayeski) Flynn. He was a lifelong resident of Manville and a graduate of Lincoln High School Class of 1982.
Billy previously worked in the roofing trade, and had also worked at Scott Brass Inc. for many years. He was a member of Teamsters Local # 251.
Billy was a sports fan and a diehard supporter of the Miami Dolphins and the Toronto Blue Jays. He also enjoyed fishing and playing cards.
Billy had a special place in his heart for animals. He especially loved his cats Max and Missy.
Billy had wonderful and kind heart; he truly was a beautiful soul. He was a good friend to anyone he met. Billy will be remembered as a loving, kind and caring person who put others before himself.
Billy lived exactly 56 years on this earth as he was called home on his birthday, November 17th. While his family and friends are saddened by his passing, he will be forever remembered in the hearts of all he touched.
Billy is survived by his brother Michael P. Flynn and his wife Marguerite of North Smithfield, and his sister Laurie A. Flynn of Westminster, Colorado. He was the brother of the late David W. Flynn who passed away in 1988 and his wife Kim of Manville. Billy was the loving Uncle of Amy M. Goulet and her husband Jeffrey, David Flynn, SSgt. Danial Flynn (U.S. Army stationed at Ft. Bragg, NC) and his wife Chrissy, Erik Malz and Marrissa Bolduc and Cory Malz and his wife Jessica, and beloved Great-Uncle of Jason, Abigail, Brooke, Danial, Kevin, Madelyn, Jasper, Hunter, Kody, Owen and Joseph.
Services will be private. He will be laid to rest at a later date in the family lot at St. James Cemetery, Manville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Woonsocket Cat Sanctuary 266 Mendon Rd. Woonsocket, RI. 02895. Arrangements are in care of the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home.
