Obituary

Mary Harper Isdell, 89, of Omega passed away Monday, November 23, 2020, at her residence. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 28, 2020, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Rickey Wells officiating. Mrs. Isdell will be laid to rest at Omega Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 27, 2020, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.

Johnny Harrod, Luther Black, Brian Potter, Chris Johnson, Ed Tucker, Bobby Feagin and Tim Jackson will serve as pallbearers.

Born on August 7, 1931 in Worth County, Mrs. Isdell was the daughter of the late Charlie M. Harper and Bobbie Howell Harper. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Oliver “Jake” Isdell, Sr.; two brothers, Ira Harper and Willie H. Harper; and four sisters, Laura Ogletree, Emma Barwick, Lorene Black and Bessie Nell Hood. She was a homemaker and retired as a unit secretary at Tift Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Landmark Baptist Church in Irwin County.

Mrs. Isdell is survived by three sons, James Edward “Jim” Isdell and Herbert “P We” Isdell Jr., both of Omega, and Charles Joseph “Joe” Isdell of Tifton; one daughter and son-in-law, Katherine “Kathy” and Johnny Harrod, of Warwick; three brothers, Robert Harper of Saint Augustine, Florida, Charles Harper of Lenox and Ernest Harper of Norman Park; ten grandchildren, Kristen Isdell Feagin, Kendall Isdell Tucker, Hope Molina, Amber Bennett Garnto, Aaron Isdell, Keith Isdell, Beth Wood, Heather Isdell, Rebecca Isdell and Amy Isdell; several great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
